For families

However your week actually runs, the hours add up on their own.

One nanny or two. School hours or full days. A fixed schedule or a week that never repeats. You shouldn't need a spreadsheet to know what you owe on Friday.

Steadily Nanny is not released yet. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you when it is.

Does this sound like your setup?

Steadily is built for the messy versions, not just the tidy one.

One nanny, full-timeSet the usual week once. It repeats until you change it.
Two nannies splitting the weekEach one sees only their own terms. You see both.
Part-time — school hours, a few daysTell Steadily the hours you actually need covered.
The same hours every weekPropose it once; she accepts once. Done.
A week that changes constantlyPropose the week, she answers, the record follows.
You cover some days yourselfMark it and the gap closes — no phantom hole in the week.

Know a day isn't covered while you can still do something about it.

Tell Steadily when your children need someone. It watches that against who is actually booked, and tells you what's missing — then lets you ask a nanny to cover a specific window, with a deadline for the answer, so you aren't refreshing a chat thread. When everything's booked, it says nothing at all.

“Who's covering 2 windows this week?” · “Not booked yet”
“Ask Aisha to cover 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM” · “Answer by Wed, 6:00 PM”
“I'm covering this”

Approve the week — or ask about one day.

The hours arrive as they happened, not as they were planned. Approve them, or hold approval and ask about a single day in writing. Once approved the week is frozen, so nothing moves quietly afterwards.

“Worth a thought first: a longer day may be a late pickup, a shorter one a school event. If it still looks off, say which day.”

What you agreed, with the date you agreed it.

Rate, overtime, guaranteed hours, paid time off, and what happens to a shift cancelled at short notice. Change any of it and the change is added to the record with its effective date — the old terms stay readable, so nobody is relying on memory.

“You can change terms later. Changes are added to the record, never edited over.”

Two nannies, two sets of terms, one week.

If the week is split between two people, each of them sees their own rate and their own terms — and only theirs. You see the whole picture.

“Rates and terms. Each carer sees their own; you see all of them.”

Steadily totals the week. You pay however you already do.

We don't move money, file taxes or run payroll. We work out exactly what the approved week is worth under the terms you both agreed to. That's deliberate — an app that doesn't hold your money has nothing to gain from either side of the number.

And a rate nobody has set stays unset. Steadily shows a prompt, never a confident £0.00.
